Big Bar Guest Ranch sits at the foot of the Marble Mountain Range, about 60 kilometres northwest of Clinton, on the border between British Columbia’s Thompson-Nicola and Cariboo regions, classic BC cowboy country. It is an Indigenous-owned business, set on 102 acres with its own private lake.
Horseback riding and trail rides through open grassland and forest are the main draw, and the lake adds fishing, canoeing and paddle boats. Evenings centre on campfire gatherings. There is a good range of places to stay: rooms in the historic Harrison House or the Coyote Lodge, individual log cabins, or tipi tents for something more rustic.
