THE EXPERIENCE
Where Every Moment Tells a Story
Brooks Lake Lodge sits at about 9,200 feet in the Shoshone National Forest, roughly a mile from the Continental Divide and about 27 miles west of Dubois off the road to Togwotee Pass. It was built in 1922 as a stopover for travelers heading to Yellowstone, became the Diamond G dude ranch in 1926, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today it operates as an all-inclusive luxury mountain lodge.
Guests stay in rooms in the historic log lodge or in log cabins, and the lodge has its own spa and dining. Summers are cool, with highs in the 70s, which makes it a comfortable base for riding and exploring the high country between Dubois and Jackson Hole. Winter is a real adventure: with 400 to 600 inches of snow a year, the last five miles of road are covered by snowmobile, snow coach or skis, and arrival has to be arranged with the lodge in advance.
Jackson Hole Airport is the nearest commercial airport. Ask the lodge for current season dates, rates and activities.
