THE EXPERIENCE
Paradise Guest Ranch sits at about 7,600 feet in the Bighorn Mountains above Buffalo, Wyoming, and has welcomed guests for more than a century. It is family-owned and has a loyal following: some families have been coming back for over 30 years.
This is a week-long summer ranch. Stays run seven nights between June and September, and the program centers on riding, from horsemanship lessons and beginner rides to faster rides and private lessons. Children’s programs are organized by age group from 2 to 17, trail riding starts at age 6, and babysitting is available. Adults-only weeks are scheduled during the season.
Between rides there is fishing, hiking, archery and shooting sports, team penning and yoga, plus a swimming pool, hot tub, spa services and a saloon. Guests stay in cabins and eat three Western-style meals a day, with dietary needs accommodated, and the ranch runs an airport shuttle.
Sheridan County Airport is about 50 miles away and Casper about 100 miles. Rates are available from the ranch on request.
