JJJ Wilderness Ranch

JJJ (Triple J) Wilderness Ranch sits inside national forest land near Augusta, with the Bob Marshall Wilderness, more than a million acres of roadless country, right out the back door. The same family has run it since 1976 as an authentic Western dude ranch for singles, couples and families.

Ranch vacations run Sunday to Friday and include all meals, a private log cabin and unlimited activities: riding on the ranch’s quarter horses, fly fishing, hiking and wildlife watching, with a kids’ program and adult-focused weeks. Evenings end around the campfire with cowboy singing. For something bigger, the ranch runs fully outfitted horse-pack trips into the Bob Marshall, from base-camp trips to full wilderness crossings, with limited availability.

From mid-September through late November the ranch hosts archery and rifle hunts. Log cabins sit among aspen and spruce, with meals and gatherings in the main lodge. Ask the ranch for current rates and pack trip dates.
