The Ranch at Wild Rose

Multi-day cattle drives from Utah to the Grand Canyon's North Rim

Alton, Utah

THE EXPERIENCE

Where Every Moment Tells a Story

The Ranch at Wild Rose in Alton, between Zion and Bryce Canyon national parks, is not a typical riding resort. Hosts Harmony and Dustin Cox and their six daughters offer total-immersion, multi-day cattle drives that push cattle about 110 miles to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, camping out along the way.

Drives run in summer and fall. Expect long days in the saddle, real cattle work and nights under the stars, which makes this best suited to confident riders who want an authentic working experience rather than a resort week.

Ask the ranch for drive dates, rates, riding requirements and what to bring.
